Fair Trade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. Fair Trade helps to address the injustices of conventional trade, which traditionally discriminates against the poorest, by ensuring that producers always get a fair price for their products.  

Fairtrade Standards, as set by Fairtrade Labelling Organizations (FLO) International (www.fairtrade.net), ensure that producers and workers receive a fair remuneration for their work and can invest in their futures. FLO-CERT (www.flo-cert.net) is the independent certification body which certifies producers and traders against the Fairtrade Standards.

africaJUICE believes that investment can only be sustainable if the benefits are genuinely and fairly shared between stakeholders. africaJUICE believes that the concepts of a fair return for producers and decent working conditions for employees should be normal business practice. africaJUICE therefore supports the Fair Trade certification scheme and our operations will be run under Fair Trade principles.

africaJUICE is currently working towards complying with Fairtrade Standards and obtaining official Fairtrade Certification.
